What matters most in life is fulfillment
Mid-Career | Director, Executive Officer & Division Manager
IT Consultant
Shinichiro Kawakatsu

Why Joined VE-TRI
A Journey Guided by Values
In my previous role, I served as Vice President and was deeply involved in company management.
Despite the responsibilities and rewards, I chose to join VE-TRI.
Why? Because I came to believe that a company should not exist solely to pursue revenue and profit.
What truly matters is creating an environment where people can share values and grow together.
Reaching this conclusion wasn’t easy—it took time and reflection. But today, I find genuine fulfillment in the work I do at VE-TRI.
Although my compensation is lower than in my previous role, I made this career change because I realized that the most important thing in life isn’t stability or income.
It’s whether you have a role and an environment that allow you to live with purpose and authenticity.
VE-TRI gave me that answer—and that’s why I’m here.
Workplace Environment
A Workplace That Embraces Diversity and Warmth
Many of VE-TRI’s team members are originally from South India, and Tamil and English are commonly spoken in the office.
Having the opportunity to work in English while living in Japan is something quite rare—especially in a small company.
This environment, where people respect and support one another across languages and cultures, brings fresh inspiration and learning every day.
VE-TRI’s office is also the home of its Founder, Kubendran, and CEO, Rathika. It’s not unusual to see their children doing homework nearby, creating a warm, family-like atmosphere that blends naturally into our daily work life.
Spending time together each day, they’ve become even closer to me than my own parents. I feel deeply grateful to be part of a workplace where human connection and emotional safety are valued just as much as the work itself.
